The Hudson Valley Food Security Roundtable is a coalition of farmers, food activists, distributors and consumers working together to help ensure access to affordable nutritious food for all people at all times in our region. The roundtable seasonal meetings are a space where all are invited to meet and work together by sharing information and engaging in practical projects. We seek to gain real understanding of the food system in our area and to develop dynamic definitions of food security and food sovereignty. It is a space for us to get to know eachother and eachother's projects so that we can fill in gaps and support one another, sharing in labor and resources. [Right now, the organizing group is simply comprised of those who organize the seasonal meetings.]
New and returning participants are invited to attend this 3rd Hudson Valley Food Security Roundtable. Over the course of the afternoon roundtable, we will meet one another, discuss food security both broadly and in greater depth, hear brief presentations by individuals who are working to fill gaps in existing food security infrastructure, and have an opportunity to share current projects, invite participation, and generally connect with others concerned about food security in the Hudson Valley.
This is a continuation of two meetings that we had in Hudson, one in the spring and one in the summer. Since so many great people made the trek all the way up from New Paltz and Poughkeepsie we decided it would only be fair to move the meeting down to Poughkeepsie for the fall installment, and split the driving. We hope you all can make it!

Directions to the UU Church:
From the Taconic Parkway, take US-44 exit toward Millbrook/Poughkeepsie. Turn Right at Rte 44/US-44 West. Turn Left at N Grand Avenue. Turn Right on Main St. Take the 1st left onto South Grand Ave. Turn Right at Hooker Avenue. Turn Left at South Randolph Ave and park at the church.
