Maine Farmland Trust is excited to announce a creative collaboration with Portland's SPACE Gallery. From May 20-23, SPACE Gallery will be hosting a Food & Farm film series; and each evening, the feature film will be preceded by one short documentary about a preserved farm, from the series "Meet Your Farmer" - commissioned by MFT and created by Cecily Pingree and Jason Mann. Doors will open at 7pm.
Thursday, May 20th, 7:30pm - DIRT! THE MOVIE (www.dirtthemovie.org)
Preceded by a screening of "Broadturn Farm"
for which John Piotti, Executive Director of MFT, will give a brief introduction.
Special guests: Cecily Pingree and Jason Mann (film makers of MFT's farm profiles)
and Stacy Brenner and John Bliss (featured farmers)
Q&A with William Logan author of "Dirt: The Ecstatic Skin of the Earth"
