Beginning Farmers Resource

Posted: April 3 2009

We'd like to remind you, in these early days of Spring, of an amazing resource for young farmers in New York, and farmer-logoanywhere, really.  Another of Cornell's great projects.
http://www.nybeginningfarmers.org/
New Farmers can join the site, find out how to write a farm plan, find folks to help you, connect with other farmers, The site has detailed information on how to write your farm plan, tips on finding people to help you, answers to questions that many new farmers have, a listing of where to go to get help on specific situations, and a series of articles and videos with advice from successful farmers. Members can post to the Forum, and work on their own Farm Plan using the online worksheets integrated in the Lessons. It's really quite amazing and interactive, and totally farmer friendly.  Check it out and get to work, Greenhorns!
