The Last Crop is a CALL TO ACTION that addresses timely issues that are confronting our nation's farmers – see The New York Times Op-Ed piece, “Keep Farmland for Farmers”.
The film follows Jeff and Annie Main of Good Humus Produce located in Capay, California. Their struggle to ensure their family farm’s future in California’s Central Valley personalizing a story being echoed in farms across the nation. At the heart of our story is their determination to address three critical issues facing farmers and our nation’s food system today: the affordability of farmland, the fragile balance of farm succession, and, ultimately, the preservation of small family run farms.
We are currently running an Indiegogo Campaign to raise the completion funds needed to finish the principal photography and post-production process. To view our campaign, please visit http://igg.me/at/thelastcrop/
If you would like to receive more information about our film, simply reply “YES.” I will then email you follow-up details of our current undertaking. Please spread our message to help us reach the widest audience possible, so we can keep farmland affordable and available for future farmers to come.
Thank You.
All the best,
