Here is another place for your work! The West Marin Review is seeking submissions for its next issue.
Submission Deadline: September 1, 2014
For publication in 2015
West Marin Review, a literary and arts journal published by Point Reyes Books and Neighbors & Friends, is now accepting submissions of literary works, poetry, and visual art for Volume 6.
Submit only unpublished work in all categories (excerpts from blogs are okay).
Prose and poetry may be submitted online or through U.S. Mail. Visual art may only be submitted through U.S. Mail. To submit prose or poetry online, click here.
To submit prose (fiction and nonfiction) or poetry in hard copy through the mail: Submit work on 8" x 11" loose (unbound, unstapled, unclipped) pages. These pages should not show your name or address. Use 12-point type, in either Times New Roman or Courier, with 1½ line spacing. Please number all pages. Note that written submissions will not be returned and notifications will be made by email, so no need to enclose an SASE.
Send no more than 3 prose pieces, no more than 4,000 words in any one piece, and show word count on each piece. Send no more than 3 poems, each preferably 25 lines or less.
To submit visual art: Submit an individual piece or up to 3 works of art as good quality color print(s) on 8" x 11"; hard copy. (Art selected for publication will require a hi-resolution scan, 300 dpi, sized no less than 8" x 11".) Please indicate title, and “top” or “bottom” of the piece on the back. If you wish art materials returned, provide an SASE of adequate size with sufficient postage.
On a SEPARATE sheet than your submission(s), include a cover page with your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number, and the title of each work enclosed. Remember, NO contact information on the work itself, whether visual art or prose or poetry. Submissions will be reviewed by an editorial committee of writers, editors, poets, and artists.
Submission fee: Please attach a check for $10.00 made out to West Marin Review with your submission. If you are submitting more than one piece or in more than one category, you need only pay once. If you are submitting online and through the mail (for example poetry and art), you need only pay with your online submission; please note this in your mailing. Mail to:
