two job opportunites in washington
Dairy Goat internship at St John Creamery and Farmer's Market manager at Boisfort Valley Farm. See below for more info.
We are a local raw goat dairy in Lake Stevens, Wa. We have internships to teach all about goat farming. We also have bee hives, pastured poultry
and raise Anatolian Shepherd (livestock guardian dogs). If you like to get dirty, and want to learn about goat dairying - we use holistic practices,
herbs, homeopathics etc with the goats. We are about to start cheesemaking for the season - so there is opportunity to learn about that as well.
We do raw aged goat cheeses. There are lots of repetitious , mundane tasks on a goat dairy, we lift 50 lb feed bags, move hay, muck barns etc.
We offer room and board and $50 per week stipend. We ask for 40 hours a week. Folks live in RVs. We provide all your food, laundry, etc.
If you are a detail person, and love animals - call me and we can see if this is your cup of tea!
