Grow it – Cook it – Eat it
June 25 - 29, 2012

Children 7 to 10 years of age are invited to come out to the farm and learn all about growing their own food and how to cook it, as well as the benefits of eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Our gardens provide a unique hands-on experience for your children, letting them experience from soil to sandwich what healthier eating really means.
The one-week camp will feature age-appropriate nutrition education, gardening activities and cooking classes from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm daily. Each day campers will:
Tend to their own camp garden with tasks such as planting, watering, light weeding and harvesting produce.
Take part in soil science projects, nature walks and sensory explorations and games.
Learn about where food comes from, why nutrition is important to help them grow, and how to make healthy food taste great.
Deadline for applications is May 18th!
