Here's a note from a greenhorn out in CA, looking for collaborators!
Hello.
My name is Hanna Hart and I am a trying to gather a troupe of young farmer's to go in on a four bedroom farmhouse located on a 1000 acre ranch in Tomales, CA. The landowner is excited about getting a group of inspired individuals onto his property to implement sustainable projects. I am working on a business plan for a pastured poultry operation with plans to expand into raw milk in the future. I hoping to find someone interested in market gardening to join forces and potentially co-market as part of a CSA. The owner is thrilled by the idea of a road side farm stand and direct marketing off the property. He has a successful direct marketing grass-fed beef and lamb operation and is willing to share resources. The house comes with a 10 by 20 foot green house plus a 1/3 acre fenced garden plot with potential to expand into more acreage. Rent would be $600 a month. I am hoping to find someone for as soon as November 15th, but am flexible to hold out till the beginning of December.
