New CT Farmer Alliance: 2012 Season's End Social!
Tuesday December 18^th 5 – 8 pm @ The Kitchen Café at Billings Forge in Hartford
Join other small-scale, young, and beginning farmers as we talk about the “uh oh and ah hah!” moments of the 2012 growing season.  What were some of your favorite vegetable varieties? What breed of chicken worked well? How did you deal with insane pest pressures?  Meet other small diversified growers from across CT as we say goodbye to another productive year and hello to the welcomed pace of winter.
We also have awesome door prizes like gift certificates for Johnny’s, maple syrup, garlic, work gloves and more!
Let’s make fun and easy sandwiches for dinner!  We will provide drinks and local bread but please help us create a great spread.  Bring a meat, cheese, fruit, pesto, green or anything else suitable for sandwich making and create a CT-grown sandwich, potluck style. (bring your own cloth napkin for sandwich service)
It’s also time to provide an update on new developments for NCTFA, which include fiscal sponsorship, sources of funding, collaborations within CT and across our borders, along with ideas for future projects for 2013 and beyond.  This is an exciting time for NCTFA with a lot of momentum!
