The Food for Thought Film Festival will take place from 1pm to 8pm at the Columbia University Medical Center, 650 W 168th Street. Among the films to be featured is a short video on New Amsterdam Market produced by Sara Grady. You can also view the video here.

Wednesday, April 22
The State Council on Waterways is hosting a forum on the Erie Canal, focusing on its potential to again serve as regional transportation corridor - and perhaps as a component of our returning Regional food system. The forum is free to the public and will be held at the Park Avenue Armory from 6pm to 8:30pm. Space is limited, and reservations are required.
Jimmy's Chowder Slam Report
On March 21, Jimmy Carbone held the First Annual New York City Chowder Slam at Jimmy's No. 43 in the East Village, to benefit New Amsterdam Market. The cookoff was great fun, raising $2,200 and initiating a wonderful new Public House tradition. We thank all who organized and attended this event.
