MR Harvest Farm, a sustainable/organic mixed vegetable farm in Grand Isle, VT seeks an experienced vegetable grower to join our team.

This is a full-time, year-around position available immediately.
In addition to being a reliable, hands-on individual; candidates must possess knowledge/skills in an Organic commercial setting:
-Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Organic Mixed Vegetables in a commercial growing operation.
-Leadership skills in building and managing a productive farm team
-Crop planning and scheduling
-Ability to meet harvest schedules
-Daily monitoring of all areas of the farm
-Organic pest/disease identification and management
-Drip irrigation systems
-Harvesting
You will be joining a young, dynamic father/son team and a growing farm. A willingness to learn, teach, experiment and work within a team environment is critical to the success of this position.  Our farm sits on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain.  We will cultivate 10-12 acres this year.  We have both a summer and winter CSAs. We serve wholesale, institutional, restaurant customers, retail customers & 4 Farm Markets.
The position is available immediately. There is no available housing on the farm but plenty of housing available in the community. Qualifying candidates must reside (or willing to relocate) within driving distance of the farm and must have a car or reliable transportation to the farm.
