The Global Growers Network, in partnership with Refugee Family Services, creates new agricultural opportunities in Georgia for international farmers who were forced to flee their homelands as refugees, due to war, genocide and persecution.The Network uses a whole-systems approach to produce good food, train and place farmers and create economic opportunity for local communities in the Decatur-Clarkston-Stone Mountain area.

Global Growers Farm Apprentice
The Farm Apprentice will support production at various farm and garden sites and lead a farm crew of 3 Interns. Work at Global Growers Network is diverse; ranging from greenhouse production, field crop planting, weeding and harvesting and building farm infrastructure. The Farm Crew is often called upon to do different, sometimes tedious, jobs in all kinds of weather. The Farm Apprentice is expected to lead the farm crew, work quickly and efficiently and set a strong pace of work. As a leader of the farm crew, you will learn, teach and implement principles of organic farming at different production sites in DeKalb County in cooperation with international farmers. You will also participate in and help coordinate activities during volunteer work days and community events. This position comes with a stipend, farm food share and scholarship to a Georgia Organics or Wylde Center training your choice (up to $50).
Global Growers Fall Internship Program
Our internships include trainings and discussions designed to build a deeper knowledge of Global Growers programs and vision, the local food system we are working to build, food sovereignty in a broader context, and our economically and culturally diverse local communities. We work with universities to support class credit and university sponsored programs.  This 10-week internship (beginning September 6, 2012) is unpaid, however we offer additional food shares and can contribute to transportation expenses for interns from low-income households.
