The National Family Farm Coalition (NFFC) is hosting its summer board meeting at Stony Point Retreat Center, about an hour north of New York City, July 19-21. This is an especially crucial time with debates around the farm bill, immigration reform, Trans Pacific Partnership negotiations, seed sovereignty, GMO deregulation and labeling, Country of Origin Labeling, and many other issues. The NFFC – comprised of grassroots farmer, fisher, farmworker and rural advocacy organizations – is striving to hone its messaging around these debates.
To further our efforts, we’re inviting local allies, supporters, and activists to join us for a discussion, dinner, and entertainment on July 20, from 3pm to 9pm. We’ve also invited some local musicians but hope that our guests will feel free to bring their own music, poetry, rap or other artistic expression around food and social justice.
We're asking for a donation of $20-$30 to cover the food/meeting costs for that evening, and that you reply by Wednesday, July 10 to Lisa:  [email protected].
