The B.A.N.D. will have it’s annual Bee Day Party Potluck on Saturday, July 30, 2011, starting around 1 PM, again at the home of the Steels- Cedar Cliff Farm, which is now excitedly also Great Song Farm, a biodynamic, draft-power CSA stewarded by Jen and Anthony.  This year there will be demos of various queenraising methods as well as focus on building the bee community.  The bees will be busy on the purple loosestrife, so bring something delicious for the humans!  All are welcome- you can RSVP so we know how crazy it will get.  REALLY CRAZY.   [email protected]
Also there’s a whole bunch more:
On Sunday July 31 at 11 AM, I will bee on WGXC Hudson Community Radio- 90.7 around Hudson town for the Sustainable Ag Show with Eric.  I’ll even sing a song.
What else?  How about something really NEW?
The Backwards Beekeepers of New York City will kickoff the first of monthly meetings on August 3 at the Brooklyn Grange in Queens.  Details to bee decided on and announced somewhere, such as the website not made yet.  We need propagandists, websiteers, skilled carpenters, bug lovers, wannabees, and outcasts. You can help the clean beekeeping movement.  (motto: Just keep it clean.)  Any way of beeing, ALL WALKS OF LIFE ARE WELCOME.
