@ broad art museum, michigan state universtiy
the land grant: join us for the launch of the land grant, a new residency program by the broad art musuem for artists working around the topics of land use, food, and urban development with a focus on sustainability. learn about politics & land grants; eat, drink, gossip, flirt; and consider the intersection of art, ag and a dynamic new economy for one of the most fertile states in the union! co-presented with the broad art museum by the greenhorns and the michigan young farmer coalition.

7pm - screening of the greenhorns documentary
april 21
@ vacant former barnes and noble*, 333 east grand river, east lansing
3-5pm - town hall discussion & kids craft session
5-7pm - local food, drink, music, and mixing at an indoor farmers' market
*the vacant barnes and noble building on grand river avenue is a major economic development site in east lansing. we will "activate" this now very raw space for a day as a model of the ways these kinds of projects and ideas can grab a moment in the history of a place and change its meaning for a brief time
