it's tomatillo time!

Posted: October 1 2009

Smithereen Farm has a fierce supply of tomatillos these days and subsequently we've all got sticky fingers from de-husking the purple dappled honeys.

We've just moved to our new farm and are preparing barns for animals, fields for winter, and ourselves for quite an expansion next season. Please do be in touch if you'd like to place any orders - we'll be selling frozen tomatillos and tomatillo salsa for the foreseable future.  here's a wonderful recipe for roasted tomatillo salsa

Our crop list:

marjoram-dry and fresh
parsley-dry and fresh
basil-dry and fresh
spearming-dry and fresh
sorrel
tomatillos
amaranth seed
zinnias
african marigolds
cosmos
kale
collards
squash
pumpkins
chicory
