HARDWORKING COUPLE (28F + 32M)
SEEKS HOMESTEADING APPRENTICESHIP
IN OR AROUND AMHERST MA
SUMMER 2012
We want to know about the feasibility of living off the land. We grew up in rural CT and RI but have lived in NYC for the past 10 years! We are now hoping to leave NYC for good to move back to the country, so we'd like to volunteer or WOOF for older folks with at least 5 years wisdom as homesteaders, small-shack builders, and/or very-small farm cultivators. Of course, I am also interested in helping with and joining co-ops, but I'm trying to balance my economic justice community-building desires with Colin's need to farm, homestead, etc. We want to know what's possible, and our dream is to build a small shack, have some goats and a garden, live simply, bike most places, and I'd be connected to economic justice groups and co-ops while he tended the farm. I am very good at organizing events, coordinating groups, and talking to people. Colin is very good at working by himself, is handy, and likes figuring out what needs to get done and doing it. We are both hard working, earnest, and friendly.
Please contact Caroline at 401 935 3071 if you have any leads.
Thanks,
Caroline and Colin
