Growing Small Fruit in the City - SATURDAY!

Learn the fundamentals of building healthy organic soil and establishing fruiting plants in urban lots.  In this workshop we will work as part of nature for optimal whole system health  and engage the landscape to discover the joy of growing a wide variety of species from currants to kiwis, and brambles to blueberries.  We will cover permaculture growing techniques and strategies for a wide varieties fruit producing perennial plants, from site selection through ongoing maintenance. An onsite planting demonstration will leave you ready to plant up your neighborhood.

Small fruit for small lots: Containers and constrained spaces - SUNDAY!

This workshop is ideal for the rooftop, terrace, or sidewalk gardener, permaculturalists. and anyone and everyone interested in learning how to grow berries, vines, and dwarf fruit trees in containers and other above-ground urban spaces.  We will discuss growing techniques and strategies for a wide varieties fruit producing perennial plants, from site selection to ongoing maintenance as well as organic soil management.
