Okanogan Biodiversity Farm Seeks Farm Manager
We  are a small-scale, intensive farm. Crops include vegetables, berries,  medicinal herbs, seeds and propagation material. We experiment with  permaculture and agroforestry systems. We are growing in multiple  locations around Tonasket, Washington in the Okanogan Valley. The farm  manager's responsibilities include planting, cultivating, irrigating,  harvesting, processing and marketing crops under the direction of Michael Pilarski. A great opportunity for someone who has completed  several years of farm internship and is ready for a bigger role which  includes mentoring by an experienced farmer. There is the potential to  join in a long-term, cooperative farming venture.  The position also  includes wildcrafting, processing and shipping wild medicinal plants  through Friends of the Trees Botanicals.
Minimum  2 years experience organic farming. Good physical shape. Ability to do a  wide variety of manual labor as we don't use many machines. Good people  skills required.  Housing provided. Salary negotiable. Early March till  Mid-November.
