About Greener Partners
Greener Partners (www. greenerpartners.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building community through sustainable farming projects and farm- based education. It is our mission to inspire individuals and communities to support and eat locally grown, seasonal food.
Greener Partners operates several community-farms that serve as resources for local food and food-based education. Our educational programs for youth include Seed to Snack, The S.O.L. Food Project and farm camps. We also offer workshops and activities for adults and families that educate about the “lost arts” from our agricultural and cultural past.
Position Description
Experienced Farm Manager wanted for 90 acre mixed vegetable and fruit farm on 100+ acre certified organic property.  This is an excellent opportunity for a strong manager to play an active role in the development of an educational farm and orchard in Southeastern, Pennsylvania. The Farm Manager reports Greener Partners’ Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
All aspects of farm and orchard management
Tractor work and maintenance
Management and development of interns
Collaboration with Farm Market Manager in employee hiring, management and development
Outreach and training for beginning and established farmers
Development of long-term soil and orchard management plan
Collaboration with local Universities research and training opportunities
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive management on midsize, organic/sustainable farm
Orchard and soft fruit management experience preferred
Excellent work ethic and a hands-on approach
Ability to both delegate to, and inspire, a team
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to create and manage a budget
Collaborative work-style
Commitment to The Farm's mission to educate, inspire and engage the community in sustainable agriculture and the local food movement

Compensation:
Use of a beautiful, fully restored 5-bedroom farmhouse and a competitive salary commensurate with experience and skill-set.  This is a year round, salaried position.  We offer group health insurance, paid time off and a yearly education stipend.
