Posted: December 13 2010

Is there money loose and jangling at the USDA?
We don't yet know, better show up at the conference and find out.

START2FARM is funded through a USDA, National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Beginning Farming and Ranching Development Program grant and was developed to assist people new to farming or ranching and those who have less than 10 years experience.
As part of the program mandate we are organizing a conference for beginning farmers and ranchers with assistance from our partners, the American Farm Bureau Federation.  The first Beginning Farmer and Rancher Conference will be in Orlando, FL on February 6 and 7, 2011 and will provide an opportunity for new and beginning farmers and ranchers to meet and learn about programs available to help them be successful.  I am attaching the agenda and meeting information.  Registration information is available on START2FARM.GOV.   We encourage your organization to provide this conference information to any interested new farmers and ranchers that may benefit from this meeting.
We at START2FARM are very excited about this program and look forward to serving new agricultural entrepreneurs.  More information about the program will be forthcoming.  If you have any questions about START2FARM, please feel free to contact us (contact information below) or toll-free 800-633-7701.
