On Monday, the city's Parks Department will announce the details of a plan to devote an entire acre at Battery Park to an urban farm.
The farm, along State Street and at Pearl Street, will be maintained by some 650 students in area schools as well as by Battery Conservancy volunteers. Also involved in the project are Chef Zak Pelaccio of Fatty Cue, who is opening two Fatty at the Battery kiosks in the park, and Wade Burch, chef of the nearby Merchant restaurant.
