300 miles for gmo labeling

Posted: September 25 2011
OCT 1, NYC is Right2Know March's first stop!
A group of concerned citizens, supported by a coalition of food advocacy organizatons and food companies and a series of speakers, will be marching to the White House on World Food Day to demand labeling of gentically modified foods--GMOs.  The march sets off from New York on October 1st.  We'll rally at Grand Army Plaza, march to the UN, and then across Manhattan to catch a ferry across the river.  Over the next two weeks, we'll walk across New Jersey, Pensylvania, Delaware, and Maryland--stopping at health food stores along the way--until reaching our destination in Washington, DC.
Marchers will be accompanied by Brooklyn's own Compass Green Project Mobile Greenhouse, Dr. Bronner's All-One Ark, and elements of the Sustainable Living Roadshow.
