The Greenhorns have a lot planned for 2009 – check it out & get involved! We’d love to see you.

March 7New York + Smithereen Farm ‘Stake Out’- bed marking on the farm, scraping manure from the barn and top dressing. Moving mulch, moving hay, moving our arms in the sun

March 13-23: Southern states + Greenhorns road-trip to Durham, NC. Raleigh-Durhan, Chattanooga, TN, Decateur, GA, Shawsville, VA. filming, and doing 2 workshops at Georgia Organics.

April 11: New York + Tree planting party in Germantown, NY (shovels, beer, band, sleepover)

April 17: San Francisco + “Land.Liberty. Sunshine.Stamina” an installation and networking session at the California College of Arts. 5-7pm

May 1: Brooklyn + Grand Army plaza Greenmarket- film screening contact

May 2: Brooklyn+ Brooklyn Museum Screening- Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art Forum 7 p.m. Severine and Laura Hannah discuss the film process and the farm process and the relevancy of all this in a feminist context. Contact

May 3: Brooklyn + Pollination clinic for pirates, pixies and persphonies. Fundraiser for Greenhorns, networking for aspiring and young farmers. Location TBA

May 9: New York + Upstate Potluck + workparty.

June 16-18: Vermont + Food, Farms and Community: Rural America’s Local Food Renaissance at Sterling College, Craftsbury Common, VT. Shooting in Vermont week prior (potential for another event)

June 28: New York + Greenhorns Midsummer Pageant. campout. music. roast pork. bacchanalia.
